Do some basic math about how many calls it takes to make a contact with a decision maker. Then, do the math of how many calls with the decision maker it takes to close a deal. And then calculate how many deals you close with actual decision makers in general. Then calculate how much that sale is worth. Now divide the sale amount by the number of calls it took to achieve it. You now have a specific dollar value that you are earning, on average, for every call. It’s a great way to get you psyched up and confident when calling.

Intention

Always set your intention when calling. It guides your conversation and gives you a deep confidence that shines through. The other person will pick up on it without a doubt.

Script

Without a script, it’s really hard to sound confident. Make sure to have a backup in front of you. This is true even if you’re a pro, as everyone slips now and then.

Physicality

If you aren’t feeling confident in your body language, it’s hard to do so on the phone. Try standing up and shaking things out. Sometimes, this can be a game changer for how you sound.
